Nick moves to Chief Executive from his previous role at the Trust as Chief Operating Officer, which he had held since December 2011.
Nick was previously employed by Royal Cornwall Hospital as Divisional General Manager, first for Estates and Patient Facilities, and then for Womens' and Child Health.
He originally joined the NHS in March 2010 through the NHS Gateway to Leadership programme which brings experienced senior managers from the private sector into the NHS.
Nick has more than 20 years of general management and director experience in the retail sector, working for Marks and Spencer, Asda and Aldi, and running a small independent company in the Bristol area.
