Dr Nick Lyons

Home

Nick started his medical career as RAF Medical Officer and then trained in general practice in North Wales before joining a rural partnership in rural Dorset. He then developed an interest in medical education and joined Wessex Deanery, working as GP Tutor and then Associate Dean in Severn and Wessex Deanery.

Nick worked in the NHS Revalidation Support Team at a national level and led the development of medical appraisal at the time that revalidation was introduced for doctors. He then worked as Medical Director in the Channel Islands, a fascinating time providing medical leadership in primary and secondary care in Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.

He still practises as a GP in Weston for a half day per week.
