The CHKS Top Hospitals programme awards were held in London last week and were attended by over 200 guests including leaders from across the healthcare sector including: NHS England, health care sector regulators, and acute Trusts.

Speaking on the accolade, Weston Area Health NHS Trust Chairman, Grahame Paine, said: “We’re delighted to win this award. Our ambition continues to be the delivery of safe services for people in our community. Through this award we have demonstrated that services at the hospital are strong in many areas.

“Our staff work tirelessly to deliver positive experiences for patients and visitors. That commitment has been recognised by this Top Hospital award. It is a fantastic endorsement for the hospital and a testament to the hard work of our staff.”

Sarah Atkinson, managing director, CHKS said: “These awards recognise the outstanding performance in those areas which we believe are critical to delivering high quality care. We are delighted that Weston General Hospital is one of our 2016 Top Hospitals.”
