The CHKS Top Hospitals award is an accolade awarded to the best performing trusts from across the country and is based on 20 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience and quality of care.
The awards, held in London this past week, saw over 200 guests in attendance including leaders from across the healthcare sector. The event also featured Sir Ranulph Fiennes speaking about his gruelling global expeditions..
Speaking on the award, Weston Area Health NHS Trust Chairman, Grahame Paine, said: “We’re thrilled to win the Top Hospital award for the second year in a row. The award recognises that many of the services at the hospital are strong which is a fantastic endorsement for our hardworking staff.
“Our ambition continues to be the delivery of safe, quality services for people in our community and our staff work tirelessly to achieve this.”
