Apprenticeships are a great way to learn and earn on the job. UHBW are committed to supporting apprenticeships as a means of attracting new talent to our Trust, as well as developing the careers of our existing colleagues. We offer a variety of apprenticeships, across clinical and non-clinical occupations, from a level 2 (Intermediate apprenticeship) progressing through to higher and degree level in some subjects. We partner with training providers who are the best in their field. We are an apprenticeship levy payer and are committed to utilising this to embed high quality apprenticeships into our workforce.
Apprenticeships are available to eligible people aged 16 and over who are looking for an opportunity to train and further develop in their career.
We advertise all of our vacancies including apprenticeships on the NHS jobs website here https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/ search for the keyword "apprentice" and select your preferred location to see what apprenticeship opportunities are currently available. Check back regularly or set up an alert so you don't miss a vacancy, as jobs arise throughout the year.
Apprenticeships are available to people over the age of 16. There is no upper age limit.

We offer a wide variety of job roles for apprentices, including both clinical and non-clinical jobs.
Eligibility will vary depending on the job role, however as a guide, maths and English at a grade 4/C (or an equivalent level 2 qualification) will generally be required as a minimum. Higher level or Degree apprenticeships will also require further qualifications, such as A levels or another appropriate Level 3 qualification. Each vacancy will clearly state the criteria.
Each apprenticeship vacancy will state the salary that you would receive for that role.
Yes - having a Degree does not preclude you from doing an apprenticeship, providing it is in a significantly different subject area in order for you to be able to gain new knowledge and experience.
