Weston Area Health NHS Trust is celebrating today after being highly commended in the category of ‘Large Business Employer of the Year’, at the Weston College Business Awards.
The commendation recognises the positive investment the Trust has made in vocational learning.
Sandy Jackson said: “It’s an honour to have been shortlisted for this award and to receive a commendation recognising the Trust as one of the top large employers in the area. Our brilliant staff, who contribute to improving the lives of so many people, share in this achievement.”
The annual Weston College Business Awards celebrates positive partnerships between the College and employers and recognises the individual efforts of apprentices. The glittering gala evening at Doubletree Hilton Cadbury House, Congresbury, was attended by well over 300 guests.
One of our apprentices, an Apprentice Administrator at the Trust, also received an award for ‘Traineeship learner of the Year’ for his work at Weston College.
On winning the award, Antonio said: “I’m really pleased to have won this award. Everyone at the Trust has been so supportive to me; they’re always there to offer support and guidance.
“I enjoy my role at the Trust; it’s a great environment to work in. This award gives me confidence to take forward with my career.”
