Radio Sunshine gets £10,000 boost
Radio Sunshine gets £10,000 boost
Volunteers at Sunshine Radio, based inside our hospital, are celebrating today after receiving a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund
Earlier this year Sunshine Radio began a huge fundraising effort to upgrade its studios and improve access for volunteers with restricted mobility.
Speaking on the grant, Radio Sunshine's Jo Newey, said: "We are all thrilled! This is the first time since the hospital opened in 1986 that we've been able to attempt such a large redesign of the studio.
"This grant from the Big Lottery Fund will go a long way to helping us make it possible for all of our volunteers to access professional standard equipment, ensuring better quality programming to the patients"
Sunshine Radio aims to reopen their studios early next year.
