CQC welcomes improvements at Weston’s A&E
The Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of all hospital and care services in England, has welcomed improvements at Weston Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department.

IT system failure - UPDATE
At approximately 3am this morning an air conditioning unit failed which overheated the server room and caused our IT system to shut down. Work has taken place to bring all systems back online. Thank you for your understanding and thank you to our staff for continuing to deliver high-quality care despite the challenges.

IT system failure
At approximately 3am today our IT system failed due to overheating in our server room. This means the Trust is using a paper-based system while work takes place to bring our IT back online. Patient care has not been affected or compromised. Our A&E department is busy, so if you are suffering a minor illness or injury, please consider attending Clevedon or Bridgwater minor injury units instead....

PUBLIC RAISE £342K FOR WESTON SCANNER APPEAL
Fundraising efforts by both staff and community members have helped raise 80% of the target bringing the appeal’s current total to £342k. The scanner appeal is a joint campaign run by the League of Friends and Weston Area Health NHS Trust (WAHT).
