What is PREVENT?
Terrorism can occur anywhere in the world and can be motivated by a range of ideologies and factors including religion, politics and race. In the UK the most serious threat we face is terrorism linked to or influenced by Al-Qaeda but there remains a serious and persistent threat from other groups and organisations including those linked to Northern Ireland-related terrorism and extreme right-wing groups.
