OHDU is an out-patient day unit facility open 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday.
We have 9 chairs for the delivery of chemotherapy and supportive therapies, for adult patients over 18 years of age receiving treatments for cancer and haematology disorders.
The oncology & haematology service is covered with several visiting consultants from Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC).
We are located in the main hospital on the first floor. Turn left at the top of the stairs and the OHDU is located at the far end of the corridor.
Weston Area Health NHS Trust is part of the South West Strategic Clinical Network (SWSCN).

We have a dedicated peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) clinic which is held each Wednesday for patients receiving systemic anti cancer therapy (SACT) and or with poor venous access
We offer scalp cooling to reduce hair loss in some chemotherapies and use the paxman scalp cooler
