Coming by Car
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust has introduced a new car parking tariff and process for patients and visitors at Weston General Hospital as of Monday 10 July 2023.
The Trust is introducing a pay by phone app, allowing even greater flexibility. Patients and visitors can also pay via one of our pay machines, that are equipped to accept cash, debit card chip and pin or contactless, as well as contactless pay using smartphones. Patients and visitors will be able to pay for parking at the end of their visit to our hospital. Automatic Number Plate recognition (ANPR) has also been installed.
Our parking charges apply 24 hours a day at Weston General:
There is a 15 minute grace period after validating your ticket to exit the car park.
Overnight parking (5pm - 7am) is available for £2.
Discounted parking is available for up to seven (7) days at a cost of £21, which is equivalent to £3 a day. This is available to all our patients and visitors who use our car park.
Parents of a young child staying overnight (5pm - 7am) in the hospital are entitled to free car parking. The ward where your child is staying will need to contact the Trust's Travel team. Please note that normal day time tariffs apply.
For outpatients that attend hospital a minimum of 3 times a month over a period no less than three (3) months, free car parking is available, please speak to the outpatients department where you are a patient for details.
Pay by phone
Weston General Hospital is pay on exit or pay by phone app Trust, up to six days after you park. You can download Trust via Apple App Store or Google Play.
There are 23 disabled car parking spaces near the front entrance.
If you are a Blue Badge holder, you will be able to park free of charge in any of our parking spaces (apart from the drop-off spaces) as long as your Blue Badge is correctly displayed and you have scanned your blue badge at the car parking machine.
There is a pick up and drop off point for taxis outside the revolving doors at the front entrance and a taxi phone inside the lobby
The main hospital has good transport links and parking facilities.
First Bus

Free shuttle bus
A free shuttle bus service is provided for patients, visitors and staff between Weston General Hospital, Weston-super-Mare train station and Bristol Royal Infirmary. This service runs Monday to Friday. View the timetable here.
The nearest train station is Weston-super-Mare railway station, which is about two miles from the hospital.

Alternatively the Freedom Travelpass gives you unlimited travel on all train and most bus services in Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (though not on Crossville and Webberbus services). Travelpasses are available daily (peak and off-peak), weekly and monthly. You can buy one from station booking offices, bus ticket offices, train managers/conductors and First bus drivers.

There are 39 covered and lockable bike spaces in the Trust including a set next to the main hospital reception by the revolving doors.
